One of those "I'm Not Breathing" Mother Moments

So, a couple of days ago I was happily chatting away with my sister Candy during what I thought was naptime. Mid-sentence I heard an unusual sound coming out of Cooper's room. I went in to check. . Since Cooper has gotten more mobile and has been watching us more carefully, he'd taken a little too much interest in his second story then I was comfortable with. I moved the crib away from the wall, but closer to his bookshelf. I was pleased with the "equidistance". Imagine my surprise when I went in to check on him, only to find that he had pulled a picture off of his bookshelf and shattered the glass, and was playing with it in his crib. He was actually raising the shards above his head and dropping them onto the frame.
I couldn't believe it. Luckily, he didn't cut himself. So, as punishment for being up to no good, I made him sleep in his sister's pink bed.
Also, in other sleeping news, the babies are sleeping in the same room at night now!

(I realize now that you totally can't see them, but just imagine...)

Zoe and Cooper are sleeping in the same room now too, have been for about a month. I was just too chicken to do it before then, but it has worked well. Zoe put a razor in her mouth once that she had gotten from the garbage. I swear, I think our kids are trying to make us have heart attacks early! -Kelsee Webb

Cas, nice name dropping. It was TOTALLY not my fault! Why don't you switch the beds so little Abby is by the window?

Addie got a hold of one of Matt's razors once and cut her finger - I about had a heart attack. Little stinkers. I can only imagine the trouble that's going to happen in that room over the next couple of months.

How's that sleeping in the same room working out? I can't have my kids in the same room; it would never work.

I know you never get used to these moments, but they never stop, even when the kids are grown up. Glass pieces may not be the problem, but there is usually something more serious lurking. Take a deep breath, and press on. By the way, it was fun watching those two goofs last night. Dad

They were very easy last night...and that included Kaden and Mason cuz once they came in, they were so konked out that they didn't want to do anything! And, I was trying to tell them when their dad was there and they were still sleeping! Love, Tim/Uncle Tim

The side-by-side cribs gave me the same switcheroo thought... Also, it takes a lifetime to approach a child in emminent danger, hoping they don't move one step closer to the disaster they face. I am reminded of the time Tim took his red wagon up to the highway to slow the semi-trucks down...at 3!! I wanted to call him but was so afraid he would bolt in the wrong direction. Please ponder a moment that this is also VERY true when parents see their children dangled over spiritual darkness...you want to call out but afraid it will push...oh my! Love, mom/gma

How scary! He's SO lucky he didn't hurt himself! I hate moments like that. I want to move my boys in together, too. Looks like fun.

YIKES! How scary. If Courtney did that . . . I don't know what would happen.
