Currently, these are things I'm dealing with.
I've talked to doctors about it, but every time my kids hit about 2 months old, my hair falls out. Gross I know. The worst part is, that it does grow back, but it looks like my hair is REALLY damaged. It grows back around the front of my face, and I feel like I'm six all over again. It's especially fun when it's about an inch long and sticks straight up. (No pictures available)
So, thank you children.
Little Ab's has really had a difficult time with her skin. When she was a few days old her face was extremely dry so I used some Baby Aveeno on her face. It burned her little cheeks so bad, she cried and cried. It left her looking like she had a very severe sunburn, and her skin peeled for a while. It was so sad. Her skin has stayed very dry, but I've been very reluctant to use more product on it. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm totally open.
I know I've said it before, and everyone is probably tired of hearing it, but I love this little girl.

I am so sorry about the hair thing. I have found that the blonde Davis sisters have experienced it really bad. For me it happens at about three months... hang in there. Headbands?? (your laughing at the thought, aren't you!)

Same thing happens to me, it's a good thing our sweet babies are worth it right!

Cooper has the same thing and so does Zoe. Their doctor suggested to bathe them in warm water, a little milk and some olive oil. We do that about once or twice a week with Cooper. But be careful, they become really slippery like a fish! Then after you are done, dry her off and put lotion on, it works so well with Cooper. And in the middle of the week I have to put olive oil on his skin to maintain it. Always makes me giggle to put that stuff on him, all I would need is some bread and I could wipe it on his head. Just kidding. Try that, only use products that are unscented, like Aveno, if you use fabric softeners try and find one that doesn't have a scent to it and maybe consider changing detergent to something hypoallergenic. My kids skin is soooooo sensitive that we use Dreft on their clothes, nothing else. It works so great and they also have a stain remover spray that is awesome too! Ok, long comment, sorry. -Kelsee

We use Aquafor and Eucerin products at the hospital. Avoid anything with fragrance and creams are less likely to irritate than ointments (it's the base they use). You might also consider cod liver oil as a supplement. It really helped a couple of my kids who had skin problems.

I agree with Sharalyn. I use Aquafor at night to seal in the mosture and then Eucerin every day. It doesn't smell all lovely like Johnson and Johnson, but Dallas' skin is quite sensitive and I found that these work. Hope that helps!

The only thing that you can buy that truly has nothing in it (according to my Ped.) is Cetaphyl. I use Melaleuca oil (tea tree oil, can be found in health food stores) sparingly on trouble spots. Light Olive oil after warm water bathtime (with no soap) will def. help a ton :)

As for the hair issue... Mine does the same thing. the only thing is, those baby hairs never seem to grow longer, they stay the same length all the time. I hate it.

AAAHHH, I hate the post-baby hair problems. I'm right there with ya. I don't have any suggestions for you and Abs, but dang is she cute!!

Same thing happens to me, Cass. I am SO sick of hair being EVERYWHERE, but it is slowing down and I love having it naturally thinned! I guess we have to look on the bright side, huh? As for the skin, I don't know. My son's is dry, but doesn't sound the same. Good luck.

Cass, I love Abby's eyes. They are so big and beautiful and so expressive. Seeing her makes me wonder what is going on in her little head.

So...after Abby is was really bad...falling out in tufts...so I went to a hair specialist (Sandy Duncan, the actress's hair guy) and he told me 1) it would get worse with each child (it did), and 2) it would always come back (it has)! Terrific!
I really like the Olive Oil suggestions...in perfect harmony with the scriptures and the healing powers of Olive Oil...Love, mom/gma
