Barometer

Tonight was our annual "take the boat out for the first time of the summer" family excursion. We had so much fun celebrating Memorial Day, Dad's Birthday (Happy Birthday Dad), and also how warm the weather was today. I sat down to blog about the experience, and I was going through the bunch of pictures we took and I came upon this picture.

Tim is a very special person. Tim is talented in many ways but I think two of his talents are paramount. Tim has a unique ability to make anyone comfortable. He genuinely loves people, and will seek out anyone he knows anywhere we go.

Tim's second talent is less known to everyone outside of his family. Tim is our family's own special person barometer. My belief is that Tim's spirit is so guileless that he doesn't understand when people are not genuine. I've finally learned that I need to pay attention to Tim's feelings in this regard, he's never wrong. A few times in the past Tim has tried to tell our family when he feels uncomfortable around someone, and always we have difficult experiences with those people.

I believe Tim's barometer is telling us something...

Oh, Cassie, how wonderfully on point is this post, and precious is the photo. I happened to be sitting with him at the Shock! game when he got his first barometric reading on sweet Kami... Kami and Matt were sitting behind us and Tim leaned over and said to me, "I think she's the one, I hope she's the one, I feel that she's the RIGHT ONE!" I'm listening, Tim, I'm listening...Love, mom/gma

Tim's face says it all.

Sometimes it doesn't mean the face, it means the comments that I say...like..."She's beyond everything that I think it would be!" Love, Tim/Uncle Tim
