Going Back

The waiting isn't my favorite.
After going to the doctor this week, they told us that we are still at a 4, and about 80% effaced. They keep telling me,
"You could have this baby any day!" (Which I totally don't believe)
But, the good news is, they scheduled me to be induced next Friday if she isn't here by then.
So, I was looking back on pictures of Coops when he was born, and while we were in the hospital. It seems like so long ago that he was born, but at the same time, it feels like I was just there.

Hurry up baby girl!

Also, we have picked a name, but sometimes Steven still wants to change it.

So, until she is here and answering to a name, I'll keep a lid on it.

(Except if I already told you, then you keep a lid on it.)

The Lyric King

It's no secret to anyone who knows me really well. I never understand lyrics correctly, and usually end up thinking that a song is about something completely different then everyone else. So, often I'll be singing along and Steve will look me with a quizzical look on his face and shake his head and say, "What are you singing?" Well my friends. The tables were turned this week. As I mentioned in a previous post, we've been watching the Backyardigans. We were in the car singing to Cooper when I heard Steven sing their theme song like this. "We're backyard friends, We're in your backyard again." (The real lyrics are "We're backyard friends, the Backyardigans.")
Now whenever I watch the Backyardigans I can't help but seeing them like little prairie dogs that keep popping up in someones backyard unwanted.
We're in your backyard again!

Things I've Liked Hearing

Lately in my day to day life, I've heard a few funny things...
  • The other day Mason disappeared. When he finally emerged it was from the bathroom with a big sigh saying, "I'm okay."
  • We watch a lot of Everybody Loves Raymond around here. The other day we didn't even know Kaden was paying attention and after a big moment on the show we heard, "What the heck Marie?"
  • When Kaden opened his birthday gift from his dad, a Wii baseball game, I said, "I foresee lots of injuries." To which Kaden responded, "I'll force you into an injury!"
  • Cooper has started his babbling. He has started talking to himself, and while he's playing we even hear an occasional "Hi". Of course we know that this is caused by supreme intelligence and not an exhalation of air.

By far the best thing I've heard in the past couple of days was the Doctor at my appointment today. He told me that I am dilated to a 4, and that they aren't even sure that I'll make it to when they were thinking they might induce.

Yippee!

P.S. Yeah right. We all know in about 4 weeks I'll be blogging about how I can't wait for the baby to just get here already!

The Audacity

A joke came up last night, (the night before Valentine's Day) that my father-in-law and husband thought that I would enjoy.

Adam came to God and God told Adam, "I'm going to give you the most loving, beautiful, intelligent, caring, perfect woman."

Adam asked, "What will it cost me?"

God said, "An arm and a leg."

Adam said, "What can I get for a rib?"

You get what you get, thankfully I think I got pretty good.
Happy Valentines Day.

I'm Lovin It

This post wasn't supposed to have anything to do with McDonalds, but after I wrote in their slogan as my title, I realized something. I really would love it right now.
Anyways.
I've developed some loves lately, and here they are.

What can I say. I loved these when I was little and rediscovered them a few weeks ago.
Gotta love the Tootsie roll.

One of my favorite shows to watch right now. It's popularity with me sort of goes out the window once I've brought home my own baby, but for a while I love it. It's on TLC, and it follows families home for the first 48 hours of having their babies home. It's entertaining to say the least.

Lisa introduced me to Pandora, and I am so glad she did! It's totally free, and all you do is type in an artist or song you like, and it creates playlists for you of music that is similar.

I love it for two reasons.

1. I hear music I haven't heard in a really long time that I don't have

2. It introduces me to new music I haven't heard and now love

Try it out!

Cooper is getting mildly interested in the Backyardigans. I was surprised the other day when I turned it on. I didn't capture 1 boy like I thought I would, but 3 boys instead.

Double stuff please.

Because of this
(Thank you again Dan and Staci)

We are addicted to this.

I am re-reading this right now, and I love how each time I read it, I still don't understand everything until they work it out. Love it.

Are these loves of a person stuck inside waiting for spring/baby? Surely not.

It Is Your Birthday.

Happy Birthday Mom.

This dress was made of paper. Was this at BYU? (gasp!)

Let's face it, you were pretty amazing back then.

Personally I think you are even more amazing now.

We All Love You Mom.

School is Good

We've been giggling about this for a while now. I had a tow company come to take the Jetta because of a flat, and instead he "Poot Air in my Tiers".
Stay in school.

So Fun.

This weekend at the NIC game, we witnessed something pretty awesome...take a look.

Lately

Well, this week we headed over to NIC to watch Tim in managing action. We had such a blast. I don't know which we enjoy more, the game, or Tim texting Steven the whole time from across the court. Both are awesome.

This week Cooper learned to clap. We love watching his big meat paws clap, it's adorable. (First child you ask?)

Today at the doctor they told us that everything looks great, and if I progress as quickly as I did last time, they will induce us at 38 weeks!

And yes, still no baby name. My palms are constantly sweating.
