Just In Case You Were Concerned...

It's true... I love both my children equally. One of my children smiles the minute I pull out the camera, and I swear the other one really tries to take awful pictures.
I like to call this picture...stinky socks.
Stick 'em up...

Just awful...

I still think she's pretty cute though..

Pedi's Anyone?

I feel so lucky that I have a husband that doesn't even bat an eye when I tell him that I'm leaving him with both of our infants at the worst time of day. (The dreaded six o'clock hour)

But, he took them, and I got to go get pedicures with some of my favorite ladies. My mother, seated on my left, and Kami, my brother's leading lady (very soon to be wife) seated on my right.

Very much needed, Very much appreciated, Very much enojoyed.

Thanks For The Bucket!

As much as it pains me to have Easter paraphernalia out after the holiday, I don't have the heart to take this bucket away from Cooper. We got this bucket at the Daines family Easter Egg hunt, and Cooper has loved it ever since. He has multiple uses for it, but usually it's used as a hat or a gathering place for misfit toys.
Thanks for the bucket Grandma and Grandpa!

We're still sort of in "lump" stage with Abby. She just lays around and watches everybody, but she's very cheerful and loves having anybody pay attention to her. Doesn't matter if it's her parents, brother, cousins, grandparents or uncle. What a spoiled little girl!

Look What Mom (Cooper) Did....

Poor Mom isn't used to having to put things very high to keep them away from Cooper, and this Sunday at dinner he taught her a lesson.
Even though he's young, he can still use Crystal Light to paint Jonathon Livingston Seagull on the carpet.

The best part was getting his wet shirt off to see that underneath everything the Crystal Light had already stained his skin red.

Happy Sunday Dinner!

Popcorn, We have a problem.

This week while Tim and I were grocery shopping, we saw this product at Walmart, and we decided that it would be fun to try. (WHAT WAS I THINKING!?)

This popcorn is so good, but it's just the tip of the iceberg. There are mulitple kinds. From Movie Theater to Smoked Cheddar, even Buffalo Cheddar. We have had so much fun trying all the kinds. There was even a moment a few days ago where three people were sitting on three couches eating three kinds of popcorn.

It's a big problem, I highly recommend you try it.

Did someone cast a spell or something?

I miss it...

I never realized that after a day of seemingly endless laundry, what feels like a million diapers, and countless runny noses, it's still possible to fall in love each day.

I love you guys.

Brace Yourself...It Was A Big Weekend....

Wow. What a weekend. We had such a great time, let's dive right in.
We started on Saturday with an Easter gathering at Steven's parents house in Spokane. We had planned on having an Easter Egg Hunt, but since the weather didn't quite cooperate, we ended up helping Cooper "gather" eggs for his bucket. It was still a blast, and we loved being with our family.

Also yesterday, Harley Elizabeth Shaver decided to finally grace us with her presence! (With some not so gentle coaxing from her mother and petocin) This little lady weighed in at 9 pounds 5 ounces, and I'm sure tons of spunk. Her brave mother made it through hours of labor without any medication, and I'm so proud of her. Congratulations Shaver's!

This morning we blessed our little Abby. We felt so lucky and loved to have so much family with us. We wanted to send a huge thank you out to everyone who came, and also to those who sent warm thoughts our way today. We feel so grateful to have our little girl in our home. I am always overwhelmed when I attend blessings in our family. I love watching the priesthood holders surround something so vulnerable and precious. Watching a baby blessing always strengthens my testimony of family. On a side note, Cooper wasn't about to be outdone and peed all over my lap during Abby's blessing...it was awesome.

We of course had our Easter baskets this morning as well. It was so fun to put them together, and also to have kids that would actually appreciate them this year. (Thanks again for the flowers Mom, they smell amazing!)

After church, we had a family egg hunt. It was raining again, so we had it inside. It was a blast. One of the best Easter gifts this year was having Dad back from Afghanistan and safe. We love our Grandpa!

Our last activity of the evening was the egg crack. We take a dozen hard boiled eggs, and a dozen raw eggs, and everyone gets to pick an egg and a person, and smack the egg on their head. Unfortunately, someone in our house (Matt...) figured out which eggs were which, and almost every egg that was smacked was raw. We had planned on doing it outside, but since it was raining, we ended up in the kitchen. (Thanks for the clean up help Kami!)

Happy Easter!

Paul Mitchell

I wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone at Paul Mitchell the School Spokane.
Today the group that Tim participates in (Special Needs Recreation) headed over to Paul Mitchell to learn about the school and to get haircuts. It was such a fun experience, and I wanted to say Thank You officially.
By far the best part for me was when everyone arrived. Everyone lined up by the front door and cheered them in. The kids loved it, as you can see.

Thanks again!
