I'm trying to learn about the whole "appreciate it while it's here" stage.
I know there will be a day when I miss the cacophony of crying, mystery diapers found by two year olds, (where were they and who put them there?!), the food they sit on and mush on their clothes...you know...that stuff.
But, today I see this picture and I see Steven's face. I saw this happen at our family pictures and I'm proud to say that we were all able to laugh. (Even our beatuimus photographer took it in stride.) So, in all the coming years when we see these family pictures, we'll remember that Daddy had to turn his shirt backwards and inside out, so we could try to capture this stage in our life.

This is classic. The look on Abby's face... The puke pouring down Steven's shirt... Perfect.
Amazing picture quality for such a picture! And Steve is totally smiling. Fantastic.
I LOVE this picture. It totally summarizes your amazing husband and how unflappable he is and how much he loves his kids...And Abs? She looks like she's thinking, what? what's the big deal?
So you think you guys didn't do the same thing to mom and I? Many a Sunday I had to go home to change just to make it through the 3 hours without smelling up the joint. And look how you turned out! Some say it was worth it.
Oh, Cassie, I hope you realize what a wonderful man you married. Not every husband would respond with so much gentleness to a baby puking milk all over him. And what a wonderful woman he found, too. You guys are so fun.
Abby
He seems to laid back. That's how Kevin is...that is why I married him. I love it. Your family is quite darling. The end.
Steven...you are LOVE!! Everybody, everytime, everywhere. I am trying to be more like you everyday. Thank you for patiently showing me the way. Love, mom/gma
