Abby's Surgery

A few weeks ago, we headed over to Sacred Heart for Abby's eye surgery. Everything went extremely well, they were moving some muscles that were working against her ability to see clearly. It was fast, and her recovery went very well. Selfishly, it was very special to have some one on one time with her. We're so grateful the doctors were able to help her. We love our Abby!

Thanksgiving

We had a great day together. We had a quiet morning at the lake watching the parade, and geese with binoculars. After a fun breakfast we took toasty naps and then went into town for our two family dinners. The kids were so well behaved, it was so much fun. We found out on Monday morning that we are expecting a girl in April, so we had plenty to be grateful for. Happy Thanksgiving!

Halloween happened here, I have proof.

We had a fantastic Halloween. Perfect weather, warm costumes, and lots of fun adult food at the end. Seriously couldn't have been better!

Coops

I've been out of town for a bit and today I really miss this guy. He is such a great buddy through the day and I love his sense of humor. He is a great protector and snuggler. I can't wait to see him in a few days...

Type and a Shadow

On the morning of our wedding day, Steven knew that all the formality made me really nervous. So, as I was being prepped by my sisters, I felt him settle next to me and take my hand. It calmed me all morning and through the day. What an amazing foreshadowing this was for me, he hold my hand and keeps me calm. What a miracle!

To Utah, To Utah

Once or twice a year the Idaho branch of our family makes the trek to see our Utah branch. We usually end up going for baptisms and because there are so many grandkids, we sometimes find ourselves going multiple times each year. Each time we pick 1 child to take with us, and this trip it was the boy's turn. They were absolutely perfect and very funny. I'm always surprised when their humor gets older. We had such a great time!

Warm Is Here

This Monday we headed out to the lake as a family. We had so much fun enjoying the sun and realizing that last years bathing suits are WAY too small, and that Mom needs to get on the ball!

We experienced amazing smelling sunscreen hugs, and the freshly bathed, tan babies.

We love the warm!

So, the other day when Steven came home I decided to take a break and go for a walk. 

When I came home, he had fed the kids and this was hanging in our kitchen. 

He literally couldn't be a better husband and father then he is today.

Soccer has begun...

Cooper started soccer today. How crazy. He wasn't very interested in playing and he was very nervous about meeting all the other kids, but luckily his Daddy was his coach so he held his hand through most of the game.

Baby Zeke

Never has there been a more adorable chubby sleepy baby. We Daines love our baby Zeke.

Conference

This weekend I realized that no conference with kids was ever as easy as it was when Cooper was our only one, and a teeny baby.

But, it's so fun to help the kids listen and to impart to them the importance of what is happening. What a blessing that we have living prophets to give us guidance and wisdom.

Cooper

Today our first baby turned 4. I can't believe that he has only been with us for four years. I feel like each day we have had has been full of Cooper's sweetness and vitality. Today I've found myself thankful for the amazing doctors who saved his life when he was a tiny baby, and that they knew exactly what to do. I'm grateful for the Priesthood holders who blessed him and brought such comfort and peace during that time.

I try to remember when he was soft and doughy, he was he sweetest little guy.

And now, he is simply crazy. He is vivacious, energetic, emotional, loving, and physical. Cooper is a sunbeam this year, and he is learning all about following instructions and having a teacher. I'm grateful to the patient primary teachers and excited about his spiritual future. He loves the gospel, and I'm excited for him to understand more clearly the blessing that it is.

We are so grateful that we have been entrusted with this boy. We couldn't be more in love with him, and we are so blown away that he turned 4 today!

Abigail and Her Purple Birthday

After we decorated the house for Abby's birthday, I laid down to sleep and realized I hadn't prepared the cameras. After searching for a fruitless hour I discovered that I cannot find our still camera. I felt so horrible. Thanks Candy for taking pictures for me. Here are a few from my phone...
She was so adorable in the morning trying to hold up 3 fingers. We had purple cake, purple balloons and purple presents. It was so fun. She loves her birthday Moose, which she has incidentally named Reindeer. Happy Birthday Abby!
